Beautiful great barrier reef dive about 2 hours from cairns. Swimming alond the ridge and around the many large mounds this site is easy to navigate and offers lots of diversity. Guaranteed to see dozens of sting rays, clown fish, parrot fish, turutles and all the usual GBR tropical species.Large gropers are commonly seen at close quarters and white tip reef sharks and occassionally blaxk tips can be seen here most the year round.
In June and July the mink' whales migration takes them through this site (or near by) and more often than not divers hear but don't see these gentle giants.
The dive site covers a large area and exploring can easily be done in the knowledge that the large ridge to the west makes for a good navigational marker. This is little gem of a dive site.
