Description

Easily accessed by boats as a single vessel anchorage exists between Eaglehawk and the southern shore and snorkelling and scuba diving are good if conditions are right. The visibility can be bad due high levels of sediment but is often 50m+ (predicting the visibility is almost impossible here and operators often get it wrong!). The abundance of soft corals and micro marine life (like sea horses, crabs and nudibranchs) make this an exciting scuba diving destination. Larger species of fish are also commonly spotted on the fringes of the reef – including manta rays.

The reef extends from the southern part of the anchorage northwards and is a pleasurable and more often than not interesting dive site.
