Description
World famous dive site and one of the many surrounding Sipadan Island that can be described as outstanding! Almost guaranteed to see massive schools of barracuda, green turtles, hawksbill turtles, grey reef sharks, white and black tip reef sharks, bannerfish and redtooth triggerfish and all the usual tropical fish just in greater numbers than you may be used to!
The dive site is accessed by boat and divers usually descend onto the wall (top 10m) and then it doesn’t really matter which way you go you will see lots.
This is the sort of site where divers come up talking as if they have been on totally different dives as there is often too much too concentrate on. Divers have reported seeing over 30 separate sharks and as many turtles in 40 minutes underwater.
At about 20m divers often see large schools of bump-head parrot fish, napoleon wrasse and different sorts of trigger fish (clown, yellow-margin, etc). At this depth it is often easiest to spot large but shy grey reef sharks prowling in the distance.
This dive site has a reputation of drawing divers back time after time as very few other sites in the world offer this sort of diversity and colour in such abundance.
